One week down, trying to be accountable

My goal for the week was to work out three times. Success!!! It was really great to get back into the gym and I am so glad that my body didn't lose everything it had built up over the past ten weeks. I really pushed myself to make it to the gym as much as I did in the end of Johnny's pregnancy. It was hard. There were times that I had to hold my hands on my hips to keep them working properly on the treadmill, there were times that getting in and out of weight machines was more difficult that the lifting itself, there were times that I had to change my shirt multiple times to find one that covered my growing belly. It was so worth it though. I feel like it helped me during labor and delivery and coming back ten weeks later has not been as difficult as I thought. In fact, my body feels as good as it did, if not better since I have lightened up since last time I was there! I am doing an extremely modified version of the Couch to 5K program with the main intention being to do cardio for 20-25 minutes. Right now I am able to jog more than I walk which is great considering I had only been walking before. I am also trying to make sure I have time to do my full weight circut getting in arms, legs, and back. It has taken me 45-55 minutes to get all of this done, but the kids have done great playing at the childcare while I take time to improve myself for me, for them, and for Matt. I don't expect to get super hard core about it, I just want to improve myself physically and get some good tone in my arms, shoulders, back, and legs. Whenever I wanted to stop jogging (doing only one to two minute jogging intervals right now) I would just tell myself, "It's just like a contraction, it's just like a contraction" and would keep breathing through it until my next walking interval. I am hoping to make some good progress and will hopefully see lean changes in the coming weeks!
